Finding the best methodology to use
There are a plethora of criminal law firms in the country which makes finding the best one out of all of them a monumental task to undertake. The sheer number of law firms that are available for anyone who needs legal representation and legal defense is a challenge to anyone trying to find the top criminal law firm. Finding the best one is hard, but finding how to find the best one is an equally monstrous task that needs to be addressed first. For this purpose, we found that primarily using three methods to find the top criminal law firms in the country would be the most effective way to figure this one out.
1. Peer nomination
- Who else but their peers can better tell others who among them are the best in the business? Peer nomination is frequently tapped to get a better assessment of almost anything you want to get ranked. People in the fold are the people you want to be talking to to get a better understanding of the present status of everyone worth noting. Peer nomination is essentially more effective in the legal defendants’ world.
2. Qualitative comparative analysis
- Using science and mathematics to get a better grasp of everything is not old news and we can certainly employ statistical data analysis on different law firms’ qualitative data would give us an insight into how well a law firm is doing technically.
3. Records of their achievements and experience
- Historically looking at a law firm's achievements can initially surmise how good a law firm is. Also by looking at individual experiences of every partner and associates a law firm has can easily summarize how accomplished a law firm is.
Criteria used
For this list, we have considered a number of criteria the participating law firms must have to be included in the list. This is done to prevent populating the list with law firms that are too small or/are primarily operating in non-metro areas. This is not done to discriminate against small law firms but to prevent confusing readers with law firms that cannot offer their services to readers due to geographic reasons. The following criteria are as follows:
1. Law firm size
- Participating law firms should have at least 50 employees employed and at least.
2. Practice areas of the law firms
- Law firms listed can cover at least 75 areas, with at least one area a metro area.
3. A law firm must have at least one associate recognized as Best Lawyer award from any previous edition of Best Lawyers
- Again, this is done to ensure that the list will not be too populated with small firms that will not be able to provide competent legal service to anyone reading this list.
